This post is late. I am doing a series of posts from Week 4 through Week 7, with individual posts for each week (much of Week 4 was written during the conference.)

DSC00701I was in the mountains east of Nara, Japan for nearly all of last week. I was at the YWAM Japan 2014 National Conference. YWAM Japan is an official missionary organization in Japan. In order to be able to apply for visas for YWAM missionaries, YWAM Japan must follow the guidelines in order to be recognized by the Japanese Government as a Professional Missionary Organization. One of these guidelines is a business meeting, to discuss budget information with a majority of their members. This means all YWAM bases must send their teams to the conference, every year

The conference is a time for members from Japan, Korea, and many, many more countries to gather in one area and praise God. I even got to meet up with one of my good friends for my DTS, who is working with the brand new Takatsuki Base in Osaka. I also made friends with many people from other bases. DSC00767

For the conference, I worked with a friend to make the video that was posted right before this post. We finished at 03:30 the morning before I left.

The conference was a wonderful experience. I was really encouraged to hear all the testimonies of what God has been doing throughout Japan. I was so blessed by how welcoming and accepting the other YWAMers were to those of us who just started as staff members at the various bases. I am so very excited for next years conference.
